This pandemic has taken a toll on our well-being – physically and mentally. As we continue to physically and socially distance, it can be hard to stay positive. We understand, and we hope this resource helps you find the support you need to help you get through this challenging time. If you are in an emergency situation, please call 911.

Feeling overwhelmed?

There is a lot of new and changing information coming at us from multiple directions. On top of that, when you’re looking for help, it can be overwhelming. If you aren’t sure where to start, call, text or chat 211. 211 provides easy access to many different community programs and resources.
  • For quick assistance dial 211 or text your zip code to 898211. A support personnel will help you find services that are available in your area.
  • Otherwise, visit the 211 website and enter your zip code to find out what is available in your area.

Feeling hopeless?

Many of us are struggling right now and it’s important to know, you are not alone. More importantly, if you’re feeling physically and socially isolated, there are people who can help so you don’t feel emotionally isolated too. If you’re having thoughts of suicide, seek professional help right away.  

Feeling sad, anxious or mad? Not sure what you’re feeling?

We are all living through something we have never experienced before and there have been a lot of losses. Many of us are feeling a sense of grief because we aren’t able to do normal things we are used to every day, such as, celebrating milestones or participating in events we look forward to every year. You have a right to feel that sense of loss.
  • The first step is to acknowledge this has been hard, these things are gone, and understand you are grieving those losses.
  • Second, acknowledge that grief can look like crying, but it can also look like anger, anxiety, sleeplessness, hopefulness, changes in appetite moodiness and irritability. We need to allow ourselves to feel these emotions and grieve.
  • Once you allow yourself to feel what you are feeling, then find healthy ways to express those feelings.

You take care of yourself and your loved ones. It’s not easy. Find assistance anywhere in the state.
In general, hotlines have three things in common:
  1. they are available to call 24/7
  2. they are 100% confidential
  3. they are free
